TWO SOULS DID BLEND TOGETHER

We stood alone before the Altar,

Hand in Hand,

Silent Prayers in this ancient Church,

And humbled in His presence.

Our feet bathed in a small beam of light,

Whilst our two souls did blend together,

Blessed with love eternal,

And sealed for ever with that tender kiss.

Out in the sunlight,

Hands still entwined,

Bird’s chorus cheering and flowers waving;

Walked on.

Later came the pain of parting,

Tears flowed as she crossed the World,

Two hearts near to breaking,

But the memories of that church remain.

Will the embers of that fire still burn?

Across the Oceans will that love return?

But in that ancient Church, that kiss,

Forever will remain.
